feel very happy whenever i see rainbow, cos it sort of signals to me -----------> hope.... but whatever it is, i saw one this week! it's been a looooonnng while since i last seen one..hopefully, going forward, everything will be good good good.....
but recently, it doesn't seem so.. :(

once again, another year has passed...
the past year marks my full year of working life... various ups and downs... but well, since we are in the new year now, we should welcome it with open arms.. hope that this year will be a good one!! =)

this wk was a busy busy wk for me... it's been a long time since i've had gatherings/meet-ups 4 days in a row after work.. it's v v tiring for me considering that i need lots of beauty slp.. but but, i'm not complaining!! :P
tue - headed to the airport to meet the girls for dinner since ivy will only be back from her bkk trip in the evening that day.. received my belated bday treat + gift and x'mas presents... thanks girls!!! :D

thurs was spent with a few of my colleagues at a korean restaurant.. my colleague recommended that place and we headed to that restaurant to meet up with one of our ex-colleagues... the food was really nice! *slurps* after chatting/dinner session, we continued round 2 by having desserts...
on fri, i met up with tammie for a play - snow white and the seven dwarfs.. i really enjoyed it.. it was quite a comedy... the actors/actresses really know how to engage the audience.. and respond to the crowd in an impromptu manner... all in all i enjoyed the show very much....
after the play it was quite late.. and we thought that most shops were closed.. and we were right! only a few of the eateries in bugis were opened.. and we proceeded to have jap food at 10 plus.. LOL

and the week didn't end here... met up with my uni pals for a dim sum lunch and chit-chat session... it's really great catching up with you girls!! we shld really do it more often! :)

after which, it was off to attend my ex-student's 21st birthday party in town.. thanks to my bf for coming to the party with me.. =)

i'm back in action again! this time, to update on my bday celebration....
anyway, have been on leave for about 2 wks now.. partly to clear leave, partly to study for exam.. am glad it's over!!! at least i can enjoy the rest of my off days.. :)
first up, celebration with raine and the ntu peeps... dinner was at manhattan fish market, followed by cutting cake, and drinking session later on... thanks for setting aside time to celebrate my bday, and also the bday cake and present! the pressie is surely v v useful to me.. :P

he popped by in the morning with a bouquet of flowers before we head down for the buffet.. :)

i know i didn't eat a lot, but still i think the food there is nice.. :P
and i love the way the desserts were being placed...
when i looked out from where i sat, i felt that it looked v resort-like, which i like!

weekend getaway tripwas at batam over the wkend last wk with bf.. for a short getaway trip.... he was allocated a room at one of the resorts there for that wk.... it's been a long long time since i last went there...
the resort! i think not bad... the room which we got was a family room, pretty spacious.. first time staying at the first level of a resort (apart from chalets lol)..
many ppl said that the pool there is big and nice....
i must say, it's not bad...
the first meal we had there... the pizza was nice! =)

as there was nothing much to do at the resort there (we didn't do water sports, we didn't do massage/spa as there were no suitable timing.. it was fully booked the first day we went there), we headed to town on the second day.. it was a 30-min ride from our resort.. went to the shopping centre and walked ard.. wanted to catch a movie, but didn't manage to as there were no suitable movies... so we ended up just walking ard till evening time.. took a cab back to resort..
on sunday, it was bye time... as we headed to the ferry terminal back to singapore...
overall, it was a relaxing getaway trip, and we need not wake up early in the morning for our buffet breakfast (as it wasn't included)... lol...
